If you’ve ever wondered what a hypnosis session really looks like, you’re not alone.
Movies make it look mysterious. But in real life, it’s structured, calm, and client-led.
Here’s what actually happens:
1. Intake: Understanding Your Goals
We start by talking.
What do you want to shift or let go of?
What do you want more of?
Where are you feeling stuck?
This part is just as important as the hypnosis itself.
2. Pre-talk: How Hypnosis Works
Before we begin, I explain how hypnosis really works.
You stay in control the entire time.
It’s a heightened state of focus, not sleep.
You can speak, move, and remember everything.
We also clear up any fears or questions.
3. Induction: Entering the Hypnotic State
I guide you into deep relaxation using simple instructions.
You might feel:
Heavy or light
Warm or tingly
Calm and still
Your body relaxes, and your mind focuses.
4. Deepening: Going Deeper
Once you’re relaxed, I take you even deeper.
This strengthens your focus and makes the work more effective.
5. The Work: Suggestions, Reframing, or Regression
Now we get to the core.
Depending on your goal, we might:
Use direct suggestions to support change
Reframe old beliefs that no longer serve you
Visit a past memory and bring in new understanding
Connect with your higher self for insight
Everything is done with your full awareness.
6. Emerging: Coming Back Fully Present
You’re gently brought back to full waking awareness.
Clients often say:
“I feel lighter.”
“I didn’t know that was still in me.”
“That was powerful.”
7. Integration: Next Steps
We talk briefly about what came up and how to support the shifts going forward.
You may get:
A self-hypnosis tool
A journaling prompt
Or an audio to reinforce the work
Curious what it could do for you or if you want to become a hypnotist?
